The City of Medicine Hat is a close-knit community nestled in the beautiful South Saskatchewan River valley of Alberta, Canada. When the City signed on to work with Vision Internet, their outdated website seemed to lack the effortless fluidity that the community and surrounding nature possessed. The website navigation was confusing and made it difficult for anyone to find information or services.
Working closely with the Vision Team, City staff members efficiently restructured the entire site’s navigation to include dropdown menus, quick links, buttons, a powerful search bar, and much more. No longer categorized by department, information and services are organized strictly from the user’s perspective with user-centric navigation. The services directory and the “I Want To…” menu provide action-oriented navigation for users to quickly locate services.
