The City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department partnered with Vision Internet to create a well designed website that promotes a positive message from the Department to the Fort Lauderdale community. The Department approached the project with several goals in mind: to improve the design of the website to give it a more polished and professional look and feel; to make the website easier to update and maintain; and to improve the online connection that they had with their community.
The communication between the two teams was impeccable as they worked through the Vision Process. Revisions to the initial design concept went smoothly, as updated community photographs and intuitively designed homepage buttons were conceptualized and created. The homepage displays a “Message from the Chief…” section which links to a personal message from Chief of Police Franklin Adderley about the new website and the Departments service to the community. With the visionCMS™, updates to the website are made frequently by a number of different Department staff members which keeps the community and visitors to the City well informed.
