Vision Internet and the City of SeaTac worked together to enhance the overall functionality, design, and navigation of the City’s website. Named after the Sea-Tac Airport, they found it imperative to incorporate characteristics from the region’s blue skies and airy clouds during the design conceptualizing. The final design incorporates a cool color palette, simple type fonts, and modern images of the community that provide website visitors with a calm and inviting browsing environment.
In addition to the cosmetic changes, the SeaTac website is now W3C Compliant and is no longer open to spam and spider-botting. The website is now a top communication tool for the City thanks to the implementation of the Vision Content Management System™. Due to the intuitive user interface of the visionCMS™, many of the City’s staff are able to maintain the website’s interactive components. There are currently more than 20 staff members, both technical and non-technical, making updates to the website. Additionally, for those that do not speak English, the website provides the option to translate the site into five languages using the Google translation link.
