The City of Hamilton is a technologically advanced, modern community that has maintained its small town atmosphere and rich history throughout the years. When officials decided to redevelop the existing website, a design that reflected all aspects of the city was a top priority. Working with the team at Vision Internet, a new design was created that is simplistic and modern.
The site features rotating images of multiple facets of community life, both past and present. A unique homepage was created for the Economic Development Department to help further portray Hamilton as the regional center for business, culture and government. The website offers many interactive features including RSS Feeds, a Dynamic Calendar System and a custom component that allows citizens to search for licensed contractors. Ultimately, the website serves as a bridge between the people and the government in a city that is bridging the gap between the past and the future.
