Historic Williamsburg is well-known for Colonial Williamsburg, the restored Historic Area of the city, and for the adjacent College of William and Mary, established in 1693 - the second-oldest university in the United States. The Historic Triangle of Virginia, which includes Jamestown and Yorktown, is among the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with Williamsburg located in the center. Williamsburg needed a better way to share the beauty and services to its citizens and visitors. By partnering with Vision Internet, the City was able to create an outstanding new website that includes powerful features such as a dynamic homepage and department homepages which highlight important news and events, many new eGovernment functions and a graphic design that showcases the beauty and history of the unique City.
