The City of Cleveland Heights is a progressive suburb within a quick commute of Cleveland, Ohio. The community is rich with parks and recreational facilities, authentic “main-street” shopping, award-winning restaurants, art galleries, and much more. With so much to offer, it was important that the City reinvent their website to centralize all of information about their community.
The new Cleveland Heights website has brought interactive organization to the city’s online outreach. The main navigation categorizes interior pages based on the end user experience. The ‘Residents’ section provides everything needed to know about living in Cleveland Heights; the ‘Visitors’ section focuses on tourist draws such as shopping, dining, theatres, and music venues; meanwhile, the ‘Business’ section boasts a searchable business directory, tips on opening a business in the City, bid notices, and much more.
The City chose to integrate unique design themes as well as three sub-sites when building the new website. Each sub-site has a unique homepage design and custom main navigation focused on the services provided. For example, the
Parks and Recreation sub-site prominently displays top-visited page buttons to find maps, fitness center facts, and information on Rec IDs. Additional sub-sites were created for
Cain Park, and the
Police Department.
