Owned and operated by the City of Poway, the Poway Center for the Performing Arts is a state of the art theatre designed for professional performances, ranging from major plays and concerts to appearances by nationally acclaimed individual artists, as well as community based productions. As an important entertainment venue and a part of the City’s cultural offerings, the Poway Center requires a means to capture the interests of local community members, residents of surrounding areas, and other potential visitors to the center as well as professional and community performers.
Working with Vision Internet, the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Center was able to capture their online audience by designing a website specific to their needs. By operating under the same CMS as the main City website (also designed by Vision Internet), the Center was able to easily work the site redesign into their budget. Both websites offer the same advanced features, including interactive components for calendar events, news items, RSS feeds, social networking tools, and more. Site administrators are able to separate user groups and content by categories, limiting the Center’s staff updates to the Center website only. Furthermore, each site has a unique design and layout, meaning that the Center’s website was designed specifically with attracting visitors in mind.
