In June 2009, the University of Antelope Valley received approval from the US Department of Education and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to offer students Associates, Bachelors and Masters Degrees. Around that same time, the University moved from their previous shopping center location to a large building complex – one more suitable for their upgrade in degree offerings. With all of these positive changes, the University decided to entirely rebrand itself to better reflect the school that it had become. Part of this rebranding entailed working with Vision Internet to redesign their old website.
The new website for the University of Antelope Valley is a true reflection of the students, teachers, and administration that make the University what it is today. The homepage slideshow displays a number of Pioneers hard at work in the classroom and during onsite training. Dropdown menus and quick link buttons guide current and prospective students to important information about financial aid, admissions, degree programs, and the UAV bookstore. Instead of having to outsource website updates, the University staff is able to make updates to the website themselves using the visionCMS™. There are currently 25 users that are able to make these updates making the website one of the top communication tools between students and staff members.
