Amador County, CA is located just west of Sacramento in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Residents of all ages enjoy the winding mountain trails, the beautiful vineyards of the valley, and the snowy slopes of the Kirkwood Ski Resort. Their website, however, was not reflective of their diverse community. With so much to offer, the County staff members decided to partner with Vision Internet to update their dated website.
During the initial meetings with Vision Internet, it became apparent that not only the design but the website’s navigation needed some work. County team members and the Vision Team worked diligently to create an inviting website design worthy of the County's beauty. To accommodate senior residents of the community, the Font Resizer component was added to the design to make text easier to read. The navigation was restructured by incorporating dropdown and left navigation menus to allow all users to easily browse the site.
