An idyllic community just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, the City of Mill Valley called on Vision Internet to replace their aging static website that had become disorganized and difficult to update. The main goals for the development of the new City of Mill Valley website were to provide the opportunity for residents to have an open and accessible introduction to the City’s history and culture, to interact more with the City via the site, and to improve access to services.
The new website’s Service Directory conveniently gathers together all the information residents need to make a request to the City -residents can find services by category and provider, and the Directory lists phone numbers, emails, and links to the appropriate department. The website also features numerous online forms that directly connect residents to City staff, including forms for pothole reporting, administrative review, and “vacation watch,” where residents who will be out of town can request that law enforcement officials monitor their homes while they are away. As a part of this project, Vision Internet created a separate, integrated website for the Mill Valley Library.
