The City of Bridgeton, MO is a northwestern suburb of St. Louis, a peaceful haven for commuters and their families. The residents of Bridgeton enjoy active lives and the City prides itself on accommodating their residents with an open flow of communication about all government happenings, upcoming events, facilities, and services. However, the city’s website was not fulfilling its role when it came to informing citizens because there was very little in the way of online services. To upgrade their dated technology and give their design a fresh start, the City selected Vision Internet to redesign their government website.
Since the launch, the new Bridgeton website is now one of Missouri’s most interactive websites, packed with online services. Streaming videos of Council Meetings are a click away from the homepage. An eNotification System is available for residents wanting automatic email updates from the City. An organized Document Center houses all important city forms and documents and filterable FAQs make finding answers simple. A dynamically updated community calendar posts all upcoming events directly to the homepage and easily allows users to add specific events to their iCal, Google, Outlook, or Yahoo calendars. These interactive features and more were included when the City upgraded to the powerful government content management system, the
visionCMS™.
