The North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) has become a staple non-profit organization within Los Angeles by helping improve the lives of developmentally disabled individuals. Over the years, the organization continued to expand their work throughout the community, and with this came the need for a more functional, modern website. Their successful work with neighboring non-profits made the choice clear for the non-profit, and Vision Internet was entrusted to rebuild the website from the ground up.
The design of the new NLACRC website was carefully planned to include features that would best accommodate the developmentally disabled persons they serve. The translation dropdown menu caters to their multi-lingual community and is as important to the site as the content itself. The text size tool assists individuals working with sight disabilities. Furthermore, the highly trafficked service application now includes zip code and age filters, guiding applicants directly to their desired application. No more sifting through PDF lists or getting lost in hyperlink navigation.
Selecting to work with the Vision Team meant over 16 years of government and non-profit website experience, making the project easily manageable for NLACRC staff members who were already stretched-thin. The website is powered by Vision Internet’s
easy-to-use government content management system - the visionCMS™. Now website updates are quick and easy, saving staff members valuable time as they utilize the website to better serve their community.
